Journal 1
This week i made a DJ name and symbol for making music.  I also started to make a ringtone for my phone on garage band.  I spent the majority of my time finding out how to properly use garage band. After i got the hang of it i could easily make my ringtone the way i wanted it.
I kept working on my ringtone until i got the the way i wanted it and then turned to begin making my DJ mix on virtual DJ.  So far i am just trying to find out the controls on virtual DJ before i start making my mix so i can understand what i am doing better.

Journal 2
This week in this class i spent most of my time working on my dj mix and finishing my ringtone.  Learning how to use the virtual DJ was hard at first but after awhile i learned the controls and how to properly transition.  After i learned the controls i could mix the songs i chose together into one mix.
I also finished my ringtone and put it onto iMovie where i could play it with my DJ symbol behind it. From there i could upload it to my blogger so it could be marked.

Journal 3
This week in class i worked on making my garage band song. Since we had previously made a ring tone in garage band is was not to hard to make the song since i was already used to the program. I also had finished making my DJ mix finally in the Djay program. I found it very hard to make this mix since there was no cueing option and no way you could beat match.  This made transitions in my mix very hard to do.

Journal 4
This week in class i created my own DJ live mix to perform in front of the class.  The mix had to be created on the DJay program which was hard to use since you had to set up pre ques. I am suppose to preform the mix in front of the class next week.  When i preform i will not be able to make any mistakes since it is live and i have to set up my transitions perfectly.

Journal 5
This week in class we had to make a song in Garage Band this is two minutes long.  I spent a lot of time perfecting my mix and spend the whole week making it to the way i wanted it to sound.  The difficult part about it was to make the mix 2 minutes long so i had to put alot of time into it. After i was done the mix i moved the mix into iMovie where i made my DJ picture the background to the mix.

Journal 6
This week in class we learned about video production and how to make our own commercial. i was in a group with Isaiah and Anthony and we had to make a commercial about the Traktor s2.  The commercial took a lot of time to video take but the editing did not take too long.  We had to put a song to our commercial and text to show the features of the object to make it look like a professional commercial.

Journal 7
During this week in class i created a DJ live mix to perform in front of the class with everyone listening.  The mix had to be created on the DJay program which was hard to use since you had to set up pre ques. Journal 8
This week in class we worked on a podcast that we are going to use to post any GarageBand songs and any mixes that we create. The program to create this podcast is called iWeb. Earlier, we had to create a three to five minute song with GarageBand and that was the first song we posted onto our podcast. Our podcast was also to have a theme by using a template and adding some graphics onto the homepage. Later in the week, we started to learn about 2D and 3D animation. Next week, we will likely be doing some animation and then finally returning to mixing and using the track-pad.

Journal 9
This week in class we learned the basics about animation. Using a program called Adobe Flash CS4, our first assignment was to create the Olympic rings, and have them move all around the screen. Next, we had to create some text and use a gradient rectangle to create a cool glint effect. We learned the main techniques of flash animation which included key frames, motion twins, and symbol paths. Next week, we will be going back into Djing and mixing and doing some more mixing assignments that we will be posting onto our podcast.

Journal 10
This week in class we did some more Flash stuff and we learned how to use a new program called Soundtrack Pro. In this program, we were to take a movie trailer that we liked and replace the audio from that movie trailer with a different song. Using many different tools, I used the song Moses stand to incorporate it in the movie Rubber. Next week, we will be taking our test before the Christmas break. We will also be learning how to use more Dj equipment hopefully soon.

Journal 12
This week we had to make another song in garageband and make it into a podcast.  This is a song i made with GarageBand that was just about three minutes in length.  The song consists mainly of a basic drum beat with high pitch synth  over it.  The song did not turn out exacty how i wanted it too but in the end it still sounded alright.  This song has improved from the others i have made as the more i use the program the more familiar i get with it and can fully understand it.  I hope to be able to make better songs by the end of this class and be able to make them exactly as i want them to sound.  At the end of the week we learned about animation and how to create frame by frame movies.

Journal 13
This week we worked in Adobe flash to create a glint effect on a name.  At first it was hard to use the glint effect but after using a you tube tutorial i found out how it works.  I used my dj name DJ DK in black and put a flash of white glint over it.  Now in flash we are making a photo colleague.

Journal 14
This week in class we started to lean a new program. it was very hard at first bit then  learned how to do it.  It was fun. I will consider downloading the program at home.  We also did other stuff and it was also fun. But i dint like it as much.  To sum up the week i had fun. The end

Journal 15
This week in class we finished any work we did not finish previously.  I headed right to my journals and unfinished projects that i did not get done.  He also told us of our project that we have to do over the winter break and have handed in by the time when we get back.  When we get back from the break we are suppost to do mixing for the rest of they year.

Journal 16
This week in class we presented our Prezi assignments.  For this assignment we had to research a DJ of our choice and answer some questions on their style and the type of music that they like to play.  We also had to listen to an hour of one of their mixes and give our opinion on it.  For my assignment I chose to do Porter Robinson.  He is an electro and progressive house producer from America.  Next week, we will be completing our final assignment which is to perform a 25-minute podcast with a few group members over the internet.
